As well as recognising the hard work that Assistance Dogs do during International Assistance Dog Week, it’s also important that we honour the hard work that goes into training an Assistance Dog!

Autism Dogs CIC is a team of experienced professionals, many of whom are autistic themselves, who are driven and motivated by our love of dogs and our passion for helping autistic people. Our staff, board members, and ambassadors all bring different and valuable skill sets to the company, with our team including a Kennel Club Assured Instructor of Assistance Dogs, a Veterinary Surgeon, a Psychotherapist, and an Autism trainer.

All of our team work together to care for and train both our Assistance Dogs and our families to the best of our ability, which enables our Autism Assistance Dogs to go on to help to change the lives of autistic people and their families. It’s so inspiring to see the change that an Autism Assistance Dog can have on an autistic person’s life, and we feel so privileged to be able to be apart of it!
