The impact of COVID-19 has been devastating for our families. Changes and unknowns are very hard for autistic people, routines have been disrupted, and isolation has increased due to the multiple lockdowns. 

Even now that places are starting to reopen, our clients are still dealing with the impacts of the lockdowns, such as increased anxiety. Our clients now also have to transition back into going to public places - something that can be hard for autistic people at the best of times due to all of the sensory input and social interaction. 

This grant has enabled us to retrain our trainers to help our clients. This will help our clients to deal with the transition of going back into the world after being affected by months of isolation and disruption to routines. Our team of trainers provide a lifeline of support, and the funding has helped us to increase the vital hours of face-to-face training we can provide to our teams.
